Meet Our Team
Sarah Angelopoulos, MA
Sarah Angelopoulos (she/her) is a Registered Psychologist with over 15 years of experience. She specializes in psychoeducational assessment and counselling for children and adolescents. Her work focuses on helping young people develop emotional regulation skills, manage anxiety and stress, and build resilience in learning and life.
Her assessment work helps families and schools understand how a child thinks, learns, and copes, identifying patterns of strengths, learning differences, and attention profiles that affect academic and emotional functioning. Sarah is known for reports that are clear, practical, and grounded in empathy, providing meaningful recommendations that help children succeed at school and at home.
In addition to assessment, Sarah offers counselling focused on emotion regulation, anxiety, and stress management. She is formally trained and qualified to teach Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) through the University of Massachusetts Medical School’s Center for Mindfulness, where she completed the teacher-training pathway originally developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn. She is also intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) through Behavioral Tech, the institute founded by Marsha Linehan. These advanced credentials inform a deeply evidence-based and compassionate approach to therapy and consultation.
Having worked across health, community, and education sectors, Sarah brings a nuanced understanding of how emotional, cognitive, and environmental factors interact. Whether through comprehensive assessment or counselling, her goal is to provide clarity, skills, and hope to families navigating learning and emotional challenges.
As a military family member and a parent of three, Sarah understands the challenges of balancing professional responsibilities with family life. Outside of work, she enjoys time in nature, good coffee, gardening, and exploring new places with family.
Sarah holds a Master of Arts in School Psychology degree and is committed to ongoing professional development to mentoring students and early career psychologist.
