ADHD Coaching

What Is Coaching?

A sign titled 'Be kind to your mind' showing a diagram of the brain with labeled parts: Prefrontal Cortex and Hippocampus, with cartoon illustrations, and the Amygdala labeled as 'Our Guard Dog.' The sign includes descriptions of each brain part's function and is mounted on a wooden stand engraved with 'My Brain Books.'

Coaching is a supportive, goal-focused process that helps people understand what’s getting in their way and how to move forward. It focuses on building practical, real-life skills such as planning ahead, staying organized, and managing stress more effectively.

ADHD coaching is a type of coaching designed for people with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). It helps individuals understand how their brain works and develop strategies to manage challenges like organization, time management, focus, motivation, and follow-through.

People with ADHD often know what they need to do but struggle with how to do it. In ADHD coaching, we work together to figure out how to get started, stay focused, and follow through on tasks. It’s not about fixing, it’s about finding strategies that fit your brain and your life.

A Collaborative, Strengths-Based Approach

Coaching sessions are collaborative and practical. Together, we set meaningful goals, explore strategies, and reflect on what’s working and what needs adjustment. The goal is progress, not perfection. We focus on finding sustainable ways to function and thrive with ADHD.

Coaching is available for teens and young adults under 25. While we support a range of life challenges, our coaching is especially helpful for students managing school-related stress. High school and post-secondary students often benefit most, as we work on strategies to stay organized, meet deadlines, and balance academic and personal life.
